Snowstorm Tonight

It's late, but here's my map. I've been talking about this storm for a while... and this has the potential to be an ice storm in Central Ohio... Northern OH will receive a general 3-6", with more along Route 6 and south.

Great job with snowfall amounts. Latest snowfall analysis shows that your forecast was nearly right on for the Southern Great Lakes.

Welcome to the Ohio/Ontario Weather Blog

Hello visitors and welcome to the Lower Great Lakes Weather Blog. We started this blog on December 23, 2008 because we were sick of bad and conservative forecasting by local media outlets that failed to pick up on storms more than a couple days in advance. Our goal is to not only provide accurate forecasts, but issue our forecasts much earlier than others. Soon after the blog was created we received a lot of comments from people in Southern Ontario, especially the Toronto area, so we decided to bring Southern Ontario into our forecasting zone.

Since then, I have started Long-Range forecasting, with my first winter outlook issued in last October. You can still see this on our "Seasonal Outlooks Page," which contains all previous long range outlooks. When Long Range Outlooks are issued, they will be on the home page, for everyone to see.

Starting in Fall 2011, Central and Southern Michigan will be added back to the blog!
