Today's Icing Event

An icestorm will move across the area today folks, bringing considerable amounts of slush and possible a little snow to our area, especially the northern areas, before rain comes and washes it all away.

I'm thinking for the folks in Northern Indiana that we will see about .2-.3 of freezing rain and slush before the change, folks in Northern Ohio to get about 1-2" of sleet and freezing rain, Southern Michigan will see about .2" of ice and then an additional 1-2" of snow.

In Canada I expect everyone to see 1-3" of snow and then a little icing after the fact before the rain moves through. The highest snows should be in the GTA

Overall I am issuing this disclaimer, this dry air should keep totals down to the minimum forecast totals however in some areas we may see pockets of more moist air and that could lead to the maximum forecast
