Moderate Risk for Severe Storms

There is a MODERATE risk for severe storms in Ohio area today, primarily south of I-70. There should be all types of severe weather possible within any storms that do develop, but the biggest threats are large, damaging hail, and damaging winds. Tornadoes could develop if there is higher amounts of low level shear and CAPE then expected, but a isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The moderate risk line is from Cincy to Columbus to Zanesville and south of that. Areas as far north as Findlay could get thunderstorms, possibly even severe storms.

Pay attention to the SPC and your local NWS for watches and warnings to be issued during the day today.
